This will be an online event hosted on Zoom. Participants will be assigned a time for judging when they and their judges will break off into private Break Out rooms.

ENTERING
  • Creativity
  • Cleverness
  • Inspiration
These traits are just as important as research, procedures, and methods! How well can you convince the judges that your entry fits it's category?

You can enter something that ended up a complete fail, but still win your category because you did something creative, fun, and interesting, or that applies to the category in an original and clever way.

Two or three categories will be judged at the same time, so please take a look at the schedule before you decide which categories you would like to enter!

Everyone must pre-register their project

We will accept papers up until April 24th.

A limited number of entrees will be accepted on the day of, but some categories may be full!

Due to time constraints there are only 7 entrees allowed per category, so if there’s one you are really interested in, sign up quick!

During the judging hour, 7 entrants will each have 5 minutes to present their project, and answer questions/receive feedback from the judges.  After all participants have completed their presentations, they must go back to the main room, and the judges will have 25 minutes to deliberate.  Category winner will be awarded by vote from the judges, and if there is a tie the room moderator gets the deciding vote.

JUDGING

Want to judge, but also enter? You can! Judges can enter in any category they are not judging!

People may contact us if they would like to judge!

There will be one overall winner for each category.  Judges will have all the projects in their category presented to them, have a chance to discuss the project briefly with the entrant, and then will award by voting.

You may end up judging something that you know nothing about, however! The point of the competition is not perfection in execution, but how well the participants applied the process creatively, and how they interpreted the theme of the category.

Two or three categories will be judged at the same time, so please take a look at the schedule before you decide which categories you would like to enter/judge!
